Lützerath, The Eviction of a Village for Coal

In January 2023, German police evicted climate activists and demolished the village of Lützerath to make way for the expansion of one of Europe's largest open-pit coal mines.
I joined the activists on the ground weeks before the eviction, supporting the movement with photo and video work throughout. The footage I shot was published across activist accounts, aired on TV shows worldwide, and reached over 20 million views across platforms.
This isn't polished work- it's ground work. Filming and conceiving alone, editing overnight in a freezing car.
